The United Arab Emirates has been hit by the heaviest rainfall in 75 years, leading to widespread flooding and chaos.
Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates Flooded
Two of Dubai's largest shopping malls, Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates, were among the worst affected by the flooding, with ankle-deep water reported in at least one Dubai Metro station.
Schools Closed, Rainfall Records Broken
Heavy rains also battered other parts of the Middle East on Tuesday, leading to school closures in the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
By the end of Tuesday, more than 142mm (5.59 inches) of rain had fallen in Dubai. On average, Dubai receives only 94.7mm (3.73 inches) of rain per year.

One image that has captured the extent of the flooding shows an SUV driving through floodwaters that have covered a road in Dubai.
The flooding has caused widespread disruption, with roads closed and public transport services affected.
