Mavericks Win 115-110 to Take 3-2 Lead in Series
Luka Dončić put in a heroic performance on Thursday night, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 115-110 victory over the Phoenix Suns in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals. Dončić hit the go-ahead three-pointer with just 3 seconds remaining on the clock, giving the Mavericks a 3-2 lead in the series.
Dončić finished the game with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists, while shooting 10-of-19 from the field. He was ably supported by Jalen Brunson, who added 21 points, and Dorian Finney-Smith, who chipped in with 18 points.
The Suns were led by Devin Booker, who scored 38 points. Mikal Bridges added 16 points, and Deandre Ayton had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The Mavericks will now have a chance to close out the series at home in Game 6 on Saturday night. The Suns, meanwhile, will need to win both Game 6 and Game 7 to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
